This happened a couple of days ago and some of you are informed but other friends aren't, so I shall tell you guys through here.
I'm not going to college!..... sort of....... okay so here's what happened:
I found institute (which will not be named) in March, applied, and got accepted. Me and my dad told them I'd start school in July 15 with the other fresh high school graduates. With all the scholarships I received we still had to pay for about $3,800 which isn't too bad but still pretty steep to pay. My dad thought he could do it but unexpected things came along and he was like "Yeah I can't pay for it now but we be able to pay later." So we asked the college to just push back my enrollment to August, maybe September instead on within the next 2 weeks. Here's where the crap kicks in.
Instead of just saying a flat out no, they kept trying to push student loans onto us. When I applied we signed papers saying we will not do any loans whatsoever and we repeated to them this. But they kept pushing the ideas of loans. I don't want to take a loan because I dont have a job yet and whatever job I get won't be enough to pay $4,000 a semester my dad is in bankruptcy and couldn't cosine if he wanted to and I'd hit him if he tried. He kept repeating to them he could pay for the next semester but nope they wouldn't listen. And they had the nerve to say "Well if your daughter can't start this semester she might not be fit for our school" um...... excuse me?????? What did you just say????
What did I do to not be a fit for the school??? My GPA is high enough, I was offered scholarships for other schools for me to come to them, and never gotten into any trouble my entire school experience. But I'm not fit just because I wanted to push back classes 30-60 days so I could be sure the classes could be paid!!
Either way, they cancelled my application to the school then have the nerve to say if I still want to attend I would have to apply for a class by January. Um...helllo?!! I WANTED TO START CLASSES ONE SEMESTER LATE!! WHY CANT YOU JUST HOLD MY APPLICATION?! I mean, when you get a scholarship it's valid for an entire year after you graduate so why does an application expire as soon as you want to push back an enrollment period?! Don't you think a application should outlast a scholarship?! Since applying is such a freaking long process I probably won't be starting classes until freaking January like they said which is very very irritating.
I swear it feels like this school only cares about money and ironically they had a commercial saying "The great thing about this school is the support."
HA! okay say that if you want. the only reason I'm gonna even try reapplying for your school is because you're the only school that has the kind of classes I want that's within state. You don't care for support you care fore money. After all, a college is a business right??
